Responsibilities • Lead business development initiatives to generate leads • Develop promotional materials • Develop new qualified investors • Promote available buildings and sites • Promote all applicable incentives • Work closely with economic development allies • Attract investors/close the sale and participate in grow the business efforts to encourage expansions from existing industrial customers • Requires the ability to become completely versed on all applicable Federal, State and local incentives and Entergy New Orleans industrial rates. • Requires the ability to develop qualified leads through the use of all available sources via relationships, research, creativity, industry associations, resourcefulness. • Identify targeted growth industries and development strategies, tactics and budget to meet Growth objectives (AGM, Jobs and viable leads) • Establish excellent working relationships with State and local economic development allies; serve in leadership roles relative to business development policy and practices • Develop the necessary material to promote the Entergy New Orleans service area • Maximize the capability of the Entergy New Orleans economic development website • Strong presentation, oral and written communication skills
NOTE: This position may be filled as an account rep or senior account rep depending upon experience level.
Qualifications • College degree in Economic Development, Marketing, Finance or Business Administration or related field. MBA and/or post graduate in Community or Economic Development preferred, Economic Development Institute, etc. • Strong communication and organizational skills and leadership with National, State, Regional and/or local economic Development Organizations required. • Must be able to travel to trade shows, recruitment missions and appropriate industry meetings. • Candidates will be hired at the appropriate level based on previous work experience and education. • Certification within the Economic Development field • Strong sales and analytical skills • Strong network of Economic Development allies • Self motivated; leadership skills • Competent use of Word, Power Point and Excel • Results oriented
